On the evening of June 19, several ECDP members gathered at  Fulton Park in Lansing. Petitions for Gary Peters for US Senate were passed around to residents, Eaton County Treasurer Bob Robinson’s representatives staffed a table, and an environmental group talked to people about clean air and water.

Rusted Root, a blues groups, played to a crowd of about fifty listeners from as far away as Shiawassee and Jackson counties. The rain held off and the mosquitoes were blown away by the gentle breeze.

State Representative Angela Witwer also attended the event to talk to constituents.
